Clare Duffy is a tech writer for CNN Business and host of the CNN podcast “Terms of Service with Clare Duffy.” She covers social media, artificial intelligence and the strategies of Big Tech companies — as well as how technology affects our daily lives. Prior to joining CNN, Duffy covered the footwear and apparel and banking industries for the Portland Business Journal. Her reporting has won awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Newswomen’s Club of New York. Duffy is a graduate of the University of Portland and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She grew up in San Luis Obispo, Calif. and is currently based in New York.
